Nigerians took on Drake for not appearing in Wizkid’s “Come closer Video” pushing Drake to acknowledge the song for the first time

Since Wizkid’s New Song, ‘Come Closer’ which features Drake dropped, the Canadian singer hasn’t acknowledged or even posted about the new Jam on any of his social media platform.

The height of it came when the Video of the Song premiered and Drake was visibly absent in the Video.. Nigerians and the whole of Africa were angry at the fact that Drake wasn’t in the video.. neither did he even acknowledge the song.

They trooped in to the singer’s Instagram page with harsh comments. Below are some comments we could get from his page, and also from the video:

Many White folks argued that Drake is currently on a tour, reason why he didn’t appear in the video.. Africans of course aren’t buying the European tour story as they feel Drake should have told Wizkid to hold on before shooting the video so they can both be in the video, if at all he had intention of being in the video.

This probably might have pushed Drake to acknowledging the New track and video, as he finally Gave Wizkid a shoutout on Instagram: “Congrats to my g @wizkidayo new song and video out now!!! Madness. 🙏🏽🌺”
