KPI Daily – Don’t Hoard It

While everyone seems to speak to encourage young adults on how to live their lives and how to build a better future for themselves, we rarely see people who use their own experience as an example to explain the facts to them.

Everything a youngster out there is doing right now, someone once did it before. Maybe not worse, but sometimes similar and in some cases, it is likely worse.

Looking back at it today it was not all that profitable. Now sitting back, watching a younger one make those same mistakes you made will be a sin against you.

Your past might be replete with shameful acts that you never want to make mention of, but do you know sharing the story with a youth around you will go a long way?

Do you know it might avert a lot of pain and help them set a good standard for themselves?

You who had gone through this youthful phase should see it as an opportunity to share your experiences with those coming behind. Their (supposed) best steps now might just be a disaster at the other end.

They need to understand how much more they can bring out of their lives than being carried away by youthful exuberance. Let them know that all what seems to be the best to them right now, might actually be a snare to trap their future.

Together we can help the youths build a more meaningful future if we all let out a bit of our experience with facts of life to them. It will encourage a soul and help direct a young lad who is going astray trace their steps back to the right path.

Don’t hoard it in
Never neglect the need to correct and encourage a youngster.
