It is another joyous moment made possible by God Almighty for us as a people to commemorate this day, I want to indeed congratulate the country on its 57th years of independence.
This is an opportunity for us to recount our losses, to take stoke of our gains. Where have we failed, where have we performed below par, where is our bearing as a people, this is the time to ask necessary questions and seek for a heuristic approach towards addressing to the core our night mares.
I enjoin every Youth in Nigeria, most especially the North Central to be illustrious and industrious, we must work for the food we eat as directed by the Holy Books. We must be prudent in our dealings and must show that we are ripe and ready for leadership, we must position ourselves in rightful places and gird our loins for the task of moving this nation higher.
A further call on our leaders, the government to invest in its youthful population, any Nation which seeks true development must invest in its youths. The government should provide favourable conditions to further diversify the economy. The Country must and should be viable for every Nigerian, this is our home and no where else to call home.
I commend the efforts of the Federal Government for taking stringent and punitive measures to forestall the breakdown of law and order in the South East and other parts of the Country.
*Happy Independence Day to us all.*
*Personal Secretary to the President of United Nations Youth Assembly, North Central*
