After careful deliberation, the Deputy governorship position was zoned to Plateau central.
Meetings with party excos and stakeholders in the zone, led to the micro-zoning of the position to Mangu LGA and the Maghavul ethnic group, with the instruction of nominating at least, three names that will be submitted to the state party secretariat. This meeting was held in Jos.
I wouldn’t want to bore you with the details that led to the submission of five names to the aspirant, Dist. Sen. JT Useni, with a pointer from the party Chairman on a preferred candidates, Mr Benedict Shignugul.
While still perusing the names,Mr Shignugul, with some party officials had a press briefing before he was even formally picked by the aspirant.
In the event of this, revolting voices from different groups led to the submission/resubmission of three names
–Mr Benedict Shignugul
-Dr James Dalok, and
-Hon. Moses Tangsan.
Which became the substantive list with the aspirant.
After careful consideration, Mr Tangsan was removed on account of age, Mr Ben Shignugul was also knockout( probably for his questionable antics against his supposed principal), and Dr James Dalok emerged as the nominated running mate to Dist. JT Useni.
Congratulations Dr James Dalok.
