Kanke Local Government Area Under 13 foothball Team to represent Plateau State in Uyo Akwa Ibom State

 

The Executive Chairman of Kanke Local Government Council Hon Nde Emmanuel Lar today in Lebwit Central football Field, performed dual all important sport functions of the Area amidst large turnout of spectators by witnessing the finals of under 13- Peace and Unity Chairmanship football competition of the year 2019 after the competition has been in comatose for over 15 years.

He disclosed that the best selected team will represent plateau state in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state on September 13th 2019 tournament.

Hon. Nde Emmanuel Lar said, already two of our young stars from kanke has been scouted and assisted overseas and the third one is pending, but soon will also join to Germany all is within the span of his one year in office.

In his address, former central zone senatorial aspirant and Chairman of the under 13 final competition, Hon Manji Gontori thanked the executive chairman for making youths friendly programmes cardinal in his administration and promised all what he can do within his reach to mobilize youths to support and pray for his success.

At the end of the finals, Nemel Ward won on penalties 5:4 against Gyangyang Ward after a tough one all draw competitive match.

Similarly, today, the Executive Chairman again officially flag-off the senior category of the Peace and Unity chairmanship Cup in the Area with the 18 Wards of the Area participating in the draw. He challenged the players to live up to expectation, by abiding by rules and play with the full hope of attaining to their full potentials of next level of football in the life.

 

Hon Lar, accompanied by the father of football on the plateau and Chairman Plateau football Association (PFA) Hon. Sunday Samson Longbup, His vice, Mr Barry, and other top technical football pundits including Coach Bitrus Bewarang.
Prizes were won by deserving teams and players of varying degrees.
